Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

RCIA is the process through which interested adults can learn about and enter into the Catholic church. This process is guided by the Holy Spirit and can begin at any time throughout the year. A catechumenate group of participants meets on a regular basis throughout the year to discuss the teachings of the Church and discern how God is speaking to them on their faith journey. Initiation for the candidates previously (baptized) may be celebrated throughout the year while the catechumens (or un-baptized) are initiated during the Easter Vigil. A sponsor prayerfully accompanies each catechumen or candidate on their journey as they seek Gods' will for their lives.
